Working Spots
FAQ
What do I need to bring for a working spot?
Each working spot registrant is responsible for providing their own crate at the conference. Crates will not be provided. Each registrant is limited to one working dog and one working spot.

What is your cancellation policy for working spots?
Our policy is the same as our in-person registration. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@canisconference.com no later than 12:00 AM EST on August 4, 2026. Cancellation requests received by this deadline will be eligible for a 50% refund of the original registration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations submitted after 12:01 AM ET on August 4, 2026, or for no-shows.

How do audit spots (viewing only) work?
To attend as an auditor for a Nose Work workshop on October 7, you must pre-register and pay for your auditor spot during registration. Both morning and afternoon sessions are offered. During the general conference, October 8-10, any registrant may attend a working session as an auditor at no additional cost.

Do you have a substitution policy?
If you are unable to attend, you may designate a substitute to attend in your place at no additional charge. Substitution requests must be submitted by August 4, 2026, in writing to info@canisconference.com.

Can your dog attend conference with you?
No personal dogs are allowed unless registered for working spots during the CANIS Conference. Working dogs are not allowed in educational sessions.

To maintain a safe and productive environment for all attendees, CANIS Conference organizers reserve the right to require the removal of any attendee and their dog if the dog exhibits aggressive, unsafe, or disruptive behavior. This includes, but is not limited to, behaviors that pose a threat to others, cause significant distraction, or interfere with the event’s operations.
